The Hara Bhara Kabab is prepared with spinach and green peas that makes evening even more relaxing and enjoyable. These kababs are best way to add nutritious spinach in your diet. So today we are going to learn about how to cook Hara Bhara Kabab, let's start.....


Required Items for Hara Bhara Kabab:

1.    4 cups Spinach

2.    4 medium boiled Potatoes

3.    2 cup fresh Green Peas

4.    2 Green chopped Chilly

5.    1 teaspoon chopped or grated Ginger


6.    4 tablespoons chopped Coriander Leaves

7.    A pinch of Turmeric Powder

8.    A pinch of Green Cardamom Powder

9.    1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder

10.    2 teaspoon Dry Mango Powder


11.    5 tablespoons Roasted Gram Flour

12.    6 tablespoons Breadcrumbs

13.    Salt according to taste

14.    5 tablespoons Oil


Time take to prepare Hara Bhara Kabab:

1.    Preparation Time:  15 minutes

2.    Cooking Time: 25 minutes


Procedure to cook Hara Bhara Kabab:

First of all boil all potatoes in salted water until that going to be soft and also boil the fresh green peas in hot water until that going to be soft. Now boil spinach in hot water for 4-5 minutes, drain using colander and after draining instantly put spinach into cold water. 


Now drain cold water using colander. Now chop the boiled spinach. Give some heat to 2 teaspoon oil in a pan with medium flame and add green peas, boiled spinach and salt according to test. Stir and cook spinach and green peas mixture until almost moisture is evaporated and it turns dry, this process will take around 5-6 minutes depending on the moisture in peas and spinach. 

Now add coriander leaves and a pinch of turmeric powder and mix it well and let the mixture cool for a while. Now take green chilly and ginger in a small chutney jar of a mixer grinder and grind them until medium coarse texture and add cooked spinach-green peas mixture and grind again until smooth texture. 


Mash or grate the boiled potatoes in a medium size bowl and add crushed greens, cardamom powder, garam masala powder, dry mango powder, roasted gram flour, breadcrumbs and salt according to taste. Now properly mix all the items and taste it. If you feel for add some more salt then add some more salt or dry mango powder to get tangy taste. 

If the mixture is wet or sticky, add more breadcrumbs and mix again. Now apply some oil on your palms for grease it and divide mixture into 8 equal portions. Take each portion and give it a round shape of ball. Press it gently between your palms to flatten it and give a shape like Pattie. Now put 2-4 tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan heat-up with medium flame.


When you found the pan is medium hot, put 4-6 patties at a time according the size of the fry pan and shallow fry until bottom surface turns light brown, it will take around 3-4 minutes. Continues flip each green patties and shallow fry another side until it's color turns light brown. 

Now transfer each kabab into a plate or a container. The Hara Bhara Kabab is ready to serve. You can serve Hara Bhara Kabab with tomato sauce or with yogurt.
