Dal Bati is a delicious and testy dish which is made by baked wheat flour and dal, served with ghee. You defiantly enjoyed this Rajasthani traditional meal with spicy Garlic Chutney.

The Dal Bati is cooked directly over heated charcoal that gives it a burnt smoky flavor; this authentic preparation requires expert cooking skills and it’s not easy, safe and practical to prepare inside the house in a closed kitchen. If you want to cook at your home then you have to purchase a Bati cooker which is available at market or even online shop like Amazon and Flipkart. So guys today we are going to learn about how to prepare Dal Bati, let's start......
Required items to prepare Dal Bati:
1. 2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
2. 1/2 cup Rava
3. A pinch of Baking Soda
4. 8 tablespoons Ghee or Cooking Oil

6. Milk or Water as per your choice

1. Preparation Time: 25 minutes
2. Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Serving:
1. 4 serving
Procedure to prepare Dal Bati:
First of all make pre-heat the oven at 200 to 210 degree Celsius, and sieve whole wheat flour in a large bowl. In this wheat add rava, baking soda, 8 tablespoons ghee or cooking oil and salt according. Now mix properly all ingredients using your hand.

After mixing add some milk in small quantities and bind the stiff dough. Afetr mixing milk it should be stiffer than paratha dough. Now leave it for 10-15 minutes by covering it with clean cloth. Now divide dough into 15-16 equal portions and make round shaped balls from it.
Remember one thing if the balls have few cracks then don't worry, it is normal. Gently press each ball in-between your palms and flatten it into a thick Pattie. Now put all the balls on a baking tray with a small gap around them.
Afterthat place baking tray in the pre-heated oven and bake raw patties at 200° C until the color of the bottom surface turns into light brown, it will take around 10-16 minutes. Take it out from the oven carefully and flip each Bati upside-down to cook the other surface. Place baking tray in oven again and bake for another 10-16 minutes.

Now take the tray out from the oven. Take some melted ghee in a small bowl. Dip each Bati in the melted ghee and transfer to a plate. You can also apply ghee on the surface of bati using a brush. Now the Dal Bati is ready to serve now squash baked Bati with your hand and drizzle some ghee over it, pour Dal over it and serve with Rajasthani Churma, Garlic Chutney and Papad.
