The Bread Upma is easy a very testy or delicious dish which is prepare quick and instant. The Bread Upma is a healthy dish for your breakfast or even for the tea break also. You can eat at any time of the day. 


The Bread Upma prepares with the help of bread as an upma and goes through same process as other upma like Rava Upma. So guys today we are going to making our breakfast testy and delicious because we are going to learn about how to prepare or cook the Bread Upma. let's start........

Required items to prepare Bread Upma:

1.    10 Bread slices

2.    1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds

3.    1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

4.    1/2 teaspoon Urad Dal

5.    2 pinch Asafetida


6.    2 sprig Curry Leaves

7.    2 chopped large Onion

8.    4 chopped medium Tomato

9.    2 chopped Green Chili

10.    2 teaspoon Raw Peanuts


11.    8-10 Cashew nuts

12.    A pinch of Turmeric Powder

13.    3 tablespoons Oil

14.    4 tablespoons Water

15.    Salt according to taste

16.    4 tablespoons chopped Coriander Leaves, for garnishing

17.    Sev, for garnishing


Time taken to prepare Bread Upma:

1.    Preparation Time: 10 minutes

2.    Cooking Time: 20 minutes


Procedure to Prepare Bread Upma:

For preparing Bread Upma, you can use white bread or whole wheat bread according to your choice, but for making it healthy dish, we recommend to using whole wheat bread in place of white bread. Cut bread slices into small pieces and keep them aside in a container. 


Now give some heat to 3 tablespoons oil in a kadahi or fry pan with medium flame. After oil getting hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal. When you feel like seeds begin to crackle, now add asafetida and curry leaves and mix properly in a manner. 


Now add chopped onion, chopped green chili, raw peanuts and cashew nuts, and Sauté until the color of onion turns into golden brown. Afterthat add chopped tomato, turmeric powder and salt according to test and mix properly, and sauté until tomatoes turn soft. 

Now add 4 tablespoons water and mix properly and cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add bread pieces and mix properly. Now all the things in the kadahi cover with a lid and cook for 4-5 minutes with medium flame. 


Afterthat switch off the flame and remove the lid. Now the Bread Upma is ready to serve, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with tea as afternoon snack. You can also garnish it with sev.
