Vegetable Pakoda is an Indian favorite dish, in many occasion the Vegetable Pakoda used like when raining, in cold days, while taking hard drink the Vegetable Pakoda is use as snacks. So Vegetable Pakoda is the flavorful deep fried crispy snacks made using mixed vegetables, gram flour and spices is a popular snack cum starter from India.

These pakodas are the perfect way to use remains vegetables in the refrigerator before vegetables transform un-usable. The making process is very easy and simple and the time requires in only chopping the vegetables and deep frying the pakodas. Just mix chopped vegetable with gram flour, spices and water to make the batter and then make small deep fried dumplings from that. So now we are going to know about recipe of Vegetable Pakoda, lets starts.....
Required Items for Vegetable Pakoda:
1. 2 small chopped Potato
2. 1/2 cup chopped Onion
3. 1/2 cup chopped Capsicum
4. 1/2 cup chopped Carrot
5. 1 cup chopped Cabbage

8. 2 chopped Green Chilly
9. 2 cup Gram Flour
10. Salt according to taste

11. A pinch of Baking Soda
12. 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilly Powder
13. Water as per requirements
14. Oil, for deep frying
Time taken to prepare Vegetable Pakoda:
1. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
2. Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Procedure to Cook Vegetable Pakoda:
First of all collect all the things that we have to use to cook Vegetable Pakodas. Now take approx. 4 cups of chopped mixed vegetables as per your choice in a large container, but in this recipe, we have used 2 chopped small potato, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup chopped capsicum, 1/2 cup chopped carrot, 1 cup chopped cabbage, 1/2 cup chopped cauliflower and 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves.
You can also add some more vegetables as you like most for example - eggplant, green beans, bottle gourd, sweet potato, fenugreek leaves, spinach, raw banana. Now mix properly all the above things. Afterthat add 2 cup gram flour and also add salt according to taste. Now add a pinch of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder also.

Now mix proper and while you can see the mixture turns wet because of the moisture in vegetables. Add water drop by drop as per requirements to make the batter but if you want to eat crispy pakoras so don’t add more water. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or Kadahi over medium flame. When the oil is medium hot, drop a small portion of mixture into the hot oil either by using a spoon or your hand to make small pakoras.
Drop 10-12 portions of mixture in a single batch, depending on the size of a frying pan or Kadahi. When the top surface is lightly cooked and you look that color of pakoda convert into golden, flip them using a slotted spoon and deep fry them from another side. Deep fry them until light golden and crispy. Remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon to drain excess oil.

Transfer them to a plate lined with the paper napkin. Vegetable Pakodas are ready for serving. Always serve them hot for best taste. But alongwith the Vegetable Pakoda you have to serve green or red chutney or sauce.
